01/05/2012: Eyeworks
Hootsmans architectuurbureau has been asked by Eyeworks to design the transformation of a historic building in the heart of the centre of Amsterdam. This stately building, also known as the HES building, will serve as Eyeworks’ international headquarters starting summer 2013. The building was built in 1901 and has been the long-time home for the Academy of Economic Studies (HES), designed by former city-architect J.B. Springer.
01/06/2011: PdRH bv
The collaboration between Hootsmans architectuurbureau and Paul de Ruiter has in recent years resulted in several successful projects like the competition Bigfoot, villa Room and the vision presentation for the University of Amsterdam, location Roeterseiland. To make this collaboration more visible, now and in the future, it was decided to set up a joint company : PdRH. PdRH is currently working on the PPP Supreme Court.
23/05/2011: Hoge Raad der Nederlanden
Hootsmans architectuurbureau i.c.m. Architectenbureau Paul de Ruiter (as part of the consortium Besix Group-Cofely) has been selected by the Government Buildings Agency and the Ministry of Security and Justice as one of the five participants in the tender for the Supreme Court.In the first phase, the number of participants is expected to be reduced to just three in October 2011 . Eventually one of these participants will realize this project according to a new public-private partnership.

18/05/2011: progress transformation Kapel de Zande:
Since april 14th 2011 the transformation of the Chapel in Ruiselede has started. The renovation of the building is scheduled to be ready in the spring of 2012.

10/05/2011: progress construction of Rechtbank Zwolle
Since february 15th 2010 the construction of the new court house in Zwolle has started. The new court building will be completed in 2012, after which the renovation of the existing court house will start.

For the Open Call 21 the Flemish Government Architect has selected Hootsmans architectuurbureau from 124 candidates for a new administrative building / social house in St-Niklaas, Belgium. 5 offices are awarded a limited commission that will lead to a visualisation of the project. Following is the definitive choice for an architect.

08/04/2011/: 'dossier of proposal' Solar Park South
For the Solar Park South competition the Italian organisation has asked for a 'dossier of proposal' to demonstrate the technical feasability of the proposal. Furthermore, an exhibition is planned with the award winning proposals.
31/03/2010: Brussels Courthouse
The proposal of Hootsmans Architectuurbureau i.c.m. Remco Bruggink for the competition Architecture for Justice - Brussels Courthouse, Imagine the Future! is has been selected for the exhibition in the Centre for Fine Arts Brussel (BOZAR - Ravensteinstraat 23, 1000 Brussel, België).
The exhibition runs from March 31st until May 15th 2011; admission is free.
24/02/2011: honorable mention in competition Justizanstalt Salzburg
Hootsmans architectuurbureau has been awarded with a honorable mention in the competition for the design of a penitentiary in Salzburg, Austria. This competition was held by the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft.
22/10/2010: classified in competition Solar Park South
Hootsmans Architectuurbureau i.s.m. Remco Bruggink, Loos van Vliet en ABT has been awarded classified in the Solar Park South competition. The entry was handed in under the name PIP.

Hootsmans architectuurbureau has been selected out of five architectural offices for the project of a reaccommodation of the offices of the Dienst Milieu en Bouwtoezicht (the Environment and Building Inspection Department) of the City of Amsterdam.

April 6 from 11.00 to 12.00 a.m. Rob Hootsmans will give a lecture on prison architecture at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR) at the VU in Amsterdam.

March 1 at 10.45 a.m. Rob Hootsmans will give a lecture at the department R-MIT of the Technical University Delft. His lecture is part of the Architectural Design II series.

The Dutch tv programme "AVRO Kunstuur" will feature an interview with Rob Hootsmans on Februari 13 about the office building of the Public Prosecutor in Lelystad.
18/01/2011: start construction Court house Zwolle
After years of preparation and design the construction of the new court house in Zwolle starts. Februari 15 the Minister of Justice Dr. E. Hirsch Ballin will give the offical starting-signal. The Minister will unveil drawings made by pupils of schools in Zwolle. The drawings visualise the thema 'space for justice'.
The new court house will be completed in 2012, after which the renovation of the existing court house will start.
15/10/2009: building permit for the Court house Zwolle
The city council of Zwolle has given a building permit for the new court house and the renovation of the old building. It marks an important step to the realisation of our design for an extension of the court house. Construction of the new building will start at the end of this year and will be completed in 2012. Then will start the renovation of the old court house.
28/09/2009: Expo Real 2009
Hootsmans architectuurbureau will participate in Expo Real 2009 in Munich. The fair takes place from October 5 till October 8. The twelve participating architects will compete for the Architecture Award 2009.
22/07/2009: lecture Rob Hootsmans at TUDelft
September 28th at 10.00 a.m. Rob Hootsmans will give a lecture at the department R-MIT of the Technical University Delft. His lecture is part of a series of lectures on the attitude of the architect during the design and building proces.
26/05/2009: honorable mention competition Marienkirche, Bochum
Hootsmans architectuurbureau received a honorable mention for its design of a chamber music hall. The limited competition was held by the city of Bochum (Germany) for a reconversion of its Maria Church into a chamber music hall.
