Hootsmans architectuurbureau thinks a flexible attitude is required to meet the specific needs of the client and help to clarify these needs. The approach and organization of a project depends on the client and the nature of the project. As an example of our flexible attitude: during the summer of 2010 a significant number of the staff members have worked at our client's office. An intense and specific cooperation arose that enabled us to ensure quality despite the tight schedule.
Our design methodology is based on a strong involvement of future users in the creation of the design. We do this at an early stage in the design process during workshops where we use models. Different options and the variations are discussed and locally adapted. Furthermore, for large institutions we also use surveys to ascertain the wishes of end users.
